Knowing Why to Let Go

Often time we go through life holding onto things that tend to weigh us down. We make excuses for why we are still in our situation and why we don’t want to throw in the towel. We ask for the same advice over and over again but with different wording hoping for a better outcome…

WHY is always the common denominator in which we tend to forget about. We never seem to ask ourselves why are we doing this to ourselves? Why are we putting ourselves through things that we don’t have to go through? And then we say, “Oh, this ain’t nothing but a test from God?” But is it? Every test is not from the Lord. Some test we bring on ourselves because we don’t have enough strength or courage to know when enough is enough. We torment ourselves with our mindsets or situations that we tend to lose sense of self. We stop activating our faith and relying more on our feelings and emotions. What if Jesus relayed on his emotions and how he felt? What if he said, “I don’t want to sacrifice my body for the greater good. Can we find another way?” If God decided to let Jesus change the mission he was placed on Earth to do, we would all be nonexistent.

He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered. -Proverbs 28:26

Relying strongly on our own hearts places us in those storms that God didn’t send out way. We become foolish souls that let everything but God lead us. Feelings and emotions shouldn’t be what we lean on to get through our situations but we allow fear to kick in.

What we have to remember is that we have the ability to allow things to enter and leave our lives. We do not have to let anything or anyway make the decisions in how our lives should be going or how we should live it.

Let go of anything that has you bounded or has become a hinderance to your happiness. Whether it’s a guy, girl, a job or a friend, who states that you have to live a life filled with heartbreak and sadness. We should have joy in our hearts, a smile on our faces and when a storm comes in we know what we need to do to get through it.
